I'm originally from Venezuela and came to the US for college. I studied chemistry and neuroscience in undergrad, and then took a couple of gap years during which I worked as a tech at a lab in Boston (MGH). I’m really interested in the molecular underpinnings of sensory transduction and am currently studying how membrane proteins, like the ones in hair cells of the inner ear, sense mechanical force.
