Swen Oosterboer

I started with Prof. Wei for my master's internship, delving into the dorsal/ventral differences of the direction selective circuit in the retina. Wei and I matched really well, so I decided to pursue a PhD, working on my thesis from day one. I've lived on the north, downtown, and south side of Chicago, each with its own charm. I enjoy spending time with my friends at home with board games or dancing at bars. I can frequently be found at the gym, and I like to host parties and cook everyday (wish I had time for a dog in my life).
